Festival Staff Positions

How important are volunteers to us? In order to continue our festival, we need volunteers. We are a grassroots organization - our community makes the festival and the festival makes our community.

You could be the perfect match for any one of these positions. Some positions require the work to be started early in the year, and finished before the festival; other positions fufill a need during the festival. Be sure to check out more than one position, in case your favorite one has been filled. We have a lot of women who can mentor a first-timer in a task that is new to her.

All positions are volunteer. None of them are paid, and some may be eligible for a discount off of the festival registration fee. Even the Core Committee, which works throughout the year, pays the festival registration fee.

Pre-festival Volunteer Positions

Most of these positions begin in April or May and most or all of the work will be completed before the festival begins in August.

• Registration - This position can be done by one or two people.

• Specific Program Leaders - These Program leader positions are usually self- or group- chosen by the community at the previous year's festival and usually do not receive a "staff" discount. Additionally most of them require a time committment during the festival.

Festival Volunteers

These positions may begin a month to a week before the festival and mostly require committment of time during the festival.

These positions are the backbone of Elderflower WomenSpirit Festival. Most are year-round, and are at least a one year to two year commitment.
