Hello Elderflower sisters,
We are pleased to welcome Lisa Gray as our newest addition to the Core Committee. The four of us are here, huddled around the wood burning stove, planning for our warm August days in the redwoods of Mendocino Woodlands. The time has come for you all to join us in getting ready to celebrate Elderflower's 20th Annual Gathering. Imagine yourself leading a workshop, drumming and chanting in the Main Meadow, chowing down on that fresh catered food, and the suspense of bidding on your favorite item in the Silent Auction. To help you get ready for all this and more, we are sending you the necessary materials to get registered and participating.
Enclosed are copies of the 2008 Registration flyer. You will find two colored copies (one for you and the other for your friend). If we each bring just one friend we will double the attendance at the festival this year. Our community is growing and we have enjoyed the addition of many new powerful, friendly and interesting new women to our community. We have included one white copy to allow you to make more copies and post them at work, your favorite bookstores, coffee shops, and anywhere else you can think of. Don't forget to go back and keep them supplied. Take flyers to any event you attend. Help share the joy of Elderflower. At the 2007 festival, we had many wonderful workshops to choose from and are looking forward to a wide selection for the coming festival. This is a great year to give that workshop you've been contemplating for a while, so go to the website, download the workshop form and send it right along to us.
Our Publicity Committee this year consists of Cynthia Larsen, to whom we are all extremely grateful. She has already proven she possesses the unique skills needed to effectively get the word out about Elderflower. We hope to reach out to new women to keep our festival and community growing. If you have a bookstore nearby please offer to post flyers. Or if you have a favorite list or publication where you think we could post an ad, please let her know. We've got a couple of upcoming events to get us all geared up and connected again. We are enthusiastic about the opportunity to lead an Elderflower women's ritual at this year's PantheaCon. Come help us make magic that will empower women's community, Friday night, February 15th, at the PantheaCon convention at the Double Tree Hotel in San Jose (registration for the con is required). Then follow that up on Saturday afternoon by attending the traditional Elderflower Womenspirit Festival party at PantheaCon. The room number and details will be posted at the convention (registration not required).
The last Sunday in March will give you another opportunity to gather with your sisters as we offer a Spring Ritual at the Humanist Hall in Oakland.
