July - August 2008
Womenspirit is Rising! Its nearly Festival Time!
•   Festival will be here before you know it!
•   We are sending out the packets to all pre-registered festival attendees the week of July 28th. Watch for your packet in the mail.
•    The packet contains directions to the festival and information on what to pack.
•    There is also information about what to expect when you arrive and other important information.
•    Here is the link to the registration packet - you can download it and print it out, if needed. Directions are included.

Spring 2008

February - June 2008
•  Elderflower hosted a ConSuite at PantheaCon during President's Day weekend.
•    We offered women and girls food and refreshment and a respite from the bustle of the con.
•    We met many new women and had some great conversations.
• Some of those women are planning to come to their first Elderflower festival!
•  A group of Elderflower community women hosted a ritual at PantheaCon on Friday evening.
•    We honored the Triple Goddess and worked magic to weave a harmonious web over the entire Earth.
•    The ritual was well received and attended by over 80 women.
•  In late March the same group of elderflower community women led a similar ritual in Oakland at the Humanist Hall.
•    We met more new women, some of whom will also be attending Elderflower for the first time this year!
•  In late Spring, due to personal reasons Lisa G. resigned from the Core Committee. The core wants to acknowledge her efforts and we are very sorry that she cannot continue at this time
•  The current core has been doing this work for 3 years now and would like to step down soon. We are looking for 2-3 women to take over the core organizing work, while we will step back and finish the handbook.
•  Michelle has been doing the Kitchen Coordinator position for years and would like to train someone who comes regularly to fill her position in the future.
•    This position would be a half staff job while the woman is in training.
•  Naomi has put out a call for assistance with updates to the website
Here is alist of our needs for a website assistant:
•    Understanding of CSS and HTML 4/XHTML.
•    Familiarity with w3c validation.
•    We are really looking for a woman who is already a member of the Elderflower Womenspirit community!
•    The site is pretty good but could use a little CSS housecleaning and a few new pages such as a site map.
•    This qualifies for a half or quarter staff position, depending on the hours you put in during the year.
•    Elderflower community would benefit greatly and you would receive many thanks from everyone!
•    If you think you almost qualify, but not quite, Naomi is willing to do a little training.

Winter 2008

What's New in January 2008?
•    The main registration mailing was sent out the last weekend of Dec. 2008.
•   If you didn't receive a packet and were expecting one, please send an email or call us (see below for contact info)
•   There were two typographical errors in the registration flyer. One is important. The other is minor.
•   The earlybird camping fee has been lowered from $35.00 to $25.00
•   The date on the registration deadline should read 2008, not 2008
•   Policy and Workshop pages are still being updated for 2008, so your patience will be appreciated.

•   Spring into Elderflower Sadly, no one volunteered this year to organize a spring event, so there will not be a Spring all day event this year.

However There will be a Spring Ritual open to all women and girls.

•    A group of Elderflower sisters is honored to present an 'Elderflower Ritual' at PantheaCon on Friday February 15th at 9:00pm. (more info soon)
•   For those who can't make it to the San Jose convention, it will be offered a second time on March 30 at the Humanist Hall in Oakland. More details soon.
